this little guy truly is a miracle baby!
from a car accident at the beginning of the pregnancy (in the hospital mom and dad then found out he was on his way!), to early labour and hospitalisation of mom for the last 2 months of her pregnancy, to being born 4 weeks before the due date, to flatlining during birth and requiring an emergency c-section… he came through it all, is happy and healthy, passes all his milestones early and has the cutest giggle ever!
his parents are so in love and so proud, and: his mom is one exceptionally strong and all-around-wonderful woman! enjoy your sneak peek!
i’m happy to share one of my all-time-favourite lifestyle newborn sessions with you today!
i will let the images speak for themselves:
and here’s a little ‚before & after‘ that i put together for mom:
make sure you also check out this session’s sneak peek, and of course the equally beautiful maternity session!
i spent this morning photographing this adorable little girl –
could have photographed her all day!
a sneak peek for now.
the first days at home with a newborn baby are completely overwhelming – especially for first time parents. you feel an overwhelming amount of love for your little one, and it gives you an overwhelming sense of joy just looking at your little miracle. at the same time, you also feel an overwhelming amount of insecurity: am i doing this right? why won’t he settle? shouldn’t i just know my baby’s needs and why she’s crying? will i ever get a decent amount of sleep again? (the answer to that last question is: sure, but not in the next few years… ;))
it’s important to remember: things will get easier! baby will cry less! you will sleep more!
and one thing will remain: the overwhelming amount of love you have for your little one –
even when one day they are not so little anymore at all.
this must be one of the biggest sneak peeks i have ever posted, but i just had to share these cute images: two adorable older siblings who were so proud, protective and very much in love with there brand-new baby brother, it was the sweetest sibling love! as soon as i arrived, i was greeted with an excited: ‚we have a baby now!! he’s upstairs! come up, come up!‘, followed by eager little footsteps running up the stairs. the rest of this session is just as beautiful… but i managed to restrain myself, so here’s the sneak peek for now!
looking at these images of this beautiful little baby girl sleeping so peacefully, you never would have guessed that there were pretty loud renovations going on next door during our session, would you? ;)
after showing you a few lifestyle newborn sessions recently, here are a few posed newborn images now. this little fellow took his time to fall asleep (which we made good use of to take plenty of images with mom and dad), but once he was sleeping, he could have slept through anything…
my little almost-one-and-a-half-year-old daughter wandered in as i was working on these images, and she pointed to the computer screen and said: ‚baby… sweeeeet!‘, obviously feeling quite grown up in comparison.
a good reminder that this ‚baby phase‘ passes so quickly! (and should – obviously – be captured in lots of beautiful photographs! just sayin’… ;))
as promised before, here she is: beautiful little en en, welcomed with so much love and tenderness! her daddy was so much in love with his brand new baby girl, and so very proud of brave and gorgeous mommy, that i think it even jumps out at you when you look at the images.
q&a with mom and dad:
how did you feel when first ‚meeting‘ your baby?
a sudden gush of emotions when the doctor placed her on my chest… magical!
5 words to describe your newborn?
cute, beautiful, sweet, smiley and expressive.
in what way does your baby’s personality already shine through?
She’s bubbly and cheerful, loves to smile, is a brave and strong girl – and sleeps through thunderstorms!
what do you love most about seeing your partner as…
… a father: the love and happiness on his face every time he sees his daughter!
… a mother: she has so much unselfish love and everlasting patience with our bundle of joy!
