The importance of printing your photos – Zurich family photographer

Let’s talk about something close to my heart—printed photographs and albums. I know, I know, we live in a digital world where every moment is captured on our phones and stored in the cloud. But trust me, there’s something truly magical about holding a printed photograph or a beautifully crafted album in your hands.

(Für den deutschen Text klicke bitte hier!)

Think about it. You have gone out of your way to book a photographer, either to commemorate a special occasion or to capture a beautiful, everyday moment with your family at this point in time that you want to remember forever. You’ve invested in these memories, so why not take the final step and print them?

Here’s why you should: Digital files are wonderful, but they’re also fleeting. You can scroll through thousands of photos on your phone or computer, but how often do you really go back and relive those moments? And let’s be real, how many times have you frantically searched for a lost data stick, cried over a corrupted hard drive, or struggled to find that perfect photo in the cloud? Exactly.

Now, imagine this: It’s a rainy afternoon. Instead of everyone staring at a screen, you gather around with your loved ones and flip through a beautifully crafted photo album. Each page brings a wave of nostalgia, laughter, and maybe a few happy tears. Or think about walking by a framed photo on your wall every day, a snapshot of a cherished memory that never fails to make you smile. That’s the power of a printed photograph.

Printed photos are timeless. They don’t need adapters or batteries, and they’re always ready to be enjoyed. They’re tangible pieces of your history, physical tokens of your memories. You can touch them, pass them around, and keep them for generations. And that is exactly what I want to provide for you and your family.

In a world where everything is becoming more and more digital, let’s hold on to the things that ground us. Let’s preserve our memories in the best way possible—printed, tangible, and full of life. Give yourself the gift of forever!

coffee table albums | family photography singapore

as you know, i’m passionate about giving my clients more than just digital files which will most likely rot away on a cd or usb in a drawer somewhere… and with technology changing so fast, in a few years time it will likely even no longer be possible to access the files on a regular computer. that’s why i find it really important to also give you something tangible after a session with me – and thereby making sure you’ll be able to enjoy your images every day!
coffee table albums are a great way to enjoy your beautiful family photos (and show them off to your family and friends, too! ;)) – and they are sure to become family heirlooms! your children will one day sit on the sofa and look through the album with their own children…

interested in a custom designed coffee table album, but not sure what it would look like?
as an example, here’s the one that my lovely clients from the last blog post purchased for their newborn session.
have a look at the custom designed layout, and the images underneath show the actual coffee table album.
these albums are really special, don’t you think?

here’s what the clients said:
‚we were absolutely delighted with the coffee table album produced for us by nina. it is perfect to flick through and to show to guests, family and friends. it is great to have a beautifully designed ‘old fashioned’  physical photo album that we can keep forever and show to our baby when she is all grown-up and ipads and smart phones are antiques!‘

and this is the actual album:

i love delivering the products that are part of my image packages to my clients – i’m always excited about the prints, albums, frames and storyboards, and always hope that they will bring my clients much joy for many, many years. and of course, for me it is then always special and rewarding to get feedback from my clients, too.
last year, after delivering a package to one of my clients, i in turn received an email that brought me much joy. this session had been a lot of fun, and i loved so many of their images, so it made me very happy to hear how this family felt about their session, images and wall art – and angie gave me permission to share her email with you here:

„Hello Nina,
I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate and am touched by your very personable and personalized approach to our photography session – right from the beginning when we first approached you to the final delivery of products (which were so beautifully wrapped!) :)
It warms my heart just looking at the images on the wall art :) Thank you for capturing images of Lucien and our family. I’m almost tempted to have another session this year to capture more images with little Lucien – that’s the impact of your work! :)
I hope you will still be in Singapore when Lucien turns 2 next Oct. Would really love to have you share the moment with us again.
I’ll definitely be visiting your blog often – simply love your work!
Warmest regards,
Angie“

below are some images of the package this family received. you can also view images from their session here.
thanks again, angie, for your kind words! i’m looking forward to our next session, and i wish you, eugene & lucien all the best for 2013!
