sneak peek: fresh 48 | shanghai newborn photographer

For a ‚Fresh 48‘ session, I come to the hospital to photograph your little one within the first 48 hours of his or her life. A wonderful way to memorise this beautiful and emotional time, a brand new life.

This little boy was exactly 24 hours old when I met him. In fact, he was just given his very first bath when I arrived at the hospital, which he wasn’t very impressed with at the time. But as you can see, he was very content afterwards – and he sported a very handsome head of freshly washed and perfectly soft hair for his first photo shoot!

Welcome to the world, little man!

playtime | shanghai family photographer

Recently my girls found this huge leaf of a palm tree that had fallen into the pool in our compound.
Of course the wanted to take it home – and I didn’t have any objections as long as I also got to play with it a little… ;)
So here are some fun portraits and self-portraits from our ‚playtime‘!

My last session here has been photographed, the last images edited, the last albums designed, and the last storyboards delivered… after 8 wonderful years in Singapore, it is now time for a new adventure! My family and I are moving to Shanghai!

While we are all excited about this move (and having moved here from Shanghai 8 years ago, we know what we’re going back to), we are of course equally sad to leave behind this beautiful city, our life here, and most importantly all our friends.

And I’ll be very sad to no longer have yearly sessions with my regular client families here. However, I’m planning to still come to Singapore once or twice a year, and schedule a week of photo sessions here. Should you wish to be on my mailing list and be informed of these dates to maybe schedule a session with me, please contact me here! And of course, should you ever visit Shanghai and create some family memories over there, let me know!

Thank you Singapore, and all my wonderful clients here – it’s been fabulous!!!

I have photographed this gorgeous girl and her family a number of times over the last few years – and she’s always such a joy to work with (so are her parents!)! Full of energy and ideas, she also made sure I got my exercise today, as she chased me to the top of all the pagodas in the Chinese Garden…! ;)

of staircases and generations | shanghai family photographer

This morning I spent some time with one of my favourite client-families – and if you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll have seen them many times before – for a family photography session at their new home. I was very happy to also meet grandma for the first time today, who is currently visiting from Denmark! Here’s just a little sneak peek – and proof that sometimes the prettiest light can be in the staircase! ;) Not to worry though, we took plenty of gorgeous photos throughout the rest of the house as well…

an early start | child photographer shanghai

I spent a lovely morning in Singapore’s Botanic Gardens with these guys! Despite the very early start – just after sunrise – the kids were full of energy, ideas (‚Can I pose in front of these flowers?‘) and laughter, and we had a really fun session! Rising early is definitely worth it!
